Who I Work With
Children
Children don’t always have the words to explain what’s happening inside.
Sometimes they communicate through play, movement, behavior, images and creativity long before they have the words to explain their experiences verbally.
Art therapy can give children another way to express themselves while developing emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence and a better understanding of their experiences.
Sessions are developmentally appropriate, creative and collaborative.
Teens
Being a teenager can be a lot.
Identity is changing. Relationships are changing. Expectations are changing. Sometimes it can feel impossible to explain it all.
Art therapy can provide teens with a space that doesn’t require them to sit across from an adult and simply talk about everything that is wrong.
We can create, talk, explore and figure out things together.
No forced vulnerability. No expectation that you have the perfect words.
Just a place to be yourself.
Adults
Therapy doesn’t have to be reserved for a crisis.
Maybe you are overwhelmed. Stuck. Burned out. Going through a transition. Working through something from your past. Trying to understand yourself better. Or simply feeling like you have lost touch with yourself somewhere along the way.
Art therapy offers another way to slow time and explore what’s happening beneath the surface.
You don’t have to know exactly what you need to begin.
